Located in San Jose at Plaza de César Chávez Park, which is open until Jan. 2, the annual Christmas in the Park event is a perfect stop for anyone looking for a quick holiday stroll. The park, which is open from 12 p.m. to 12 a.m., offers no cost for general admission, though guests must pay for tickets to go on the rides. Containing attractions from a carousel to a miniature ferris wheel, Christmas in the Park is a wonderful place for children to enjoy the holiday season.

Upon entering the park, guests are greeted with numerous, elaborately-decorated Christmas trees and many food options. Various organizations such as Girl Scouts decorated their own tree with custom ornaments, and some trees were adorned in commemoration of loved ones who passed away. The collection of unique trees made for a beautiful sight, emphasizing the importance of community during the holiday season.

At 5 p.m., the park was relatively quiet, with most of the rides empty and few people walking through the trees. As it became dark, more people arrived to enjoy the holiday lights of the Christmas trees, making after sunset the best time to visit the park. Despite the low number of visitors, Christmas in the Park is perfect for a relaxed and heartwarming evening to spend with loved ones.
